Corporate Social Responsibility · AI Anganwadi 360

Building technology
for the world's
youngest.

Every life starts somewhere. For millions of children in rural India, it starts at an Anganwadi, a village centre for early learning, nutrition and care. As our CSR commitment, Kuvaka is building AI-native technology for these centres, starting with ten in Madhya Pradesh.

Same standards as our client work. Same engineering team. Built for villages where the network drops, the power flickers, and the stakes could not be higher.

Intelligence & Command Centre

Our CSR commitment

Intelligence should reach the village, not just the boardroom.

Our mission is technology for the world, not just those who can afford it. CSR is where we test that promise hardest: in places with the least infrastructure and the most at stake.

AI Anganwadi 360 is not a donation or a logo on a banner. It is a product. We design it, build it, deploy it, support it and measure it, with the same guarantees on scope and quality that every Kuvaka engagement carries.

And, as with everything we build, we intend to share what we learn so that others can build on it.

Our vision

Every Anganwadi.
Every child.
Every village.

A future where every Anganwadi is an intelligent centre, where a worker knows which child needs help today, a parent hears from the centre in their own language, and no child's need goes unseen.

The future of care will not be defined by human effort or machine intelligence alone. It will be defined by how well they work together, most of all in the places that need it most.

Why this, why now

The first six years shape a lifetime.

61.58 lakh

registered beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh (2025-26)

Most of a child's brain develops before the age of six. The learning, nutrition and care a child receives in these years shape how they do in school and in health, and what they go on to earn. Too many children fall behind before they ever reach a classroom.

India built the world's largest network of early childhood centres to change that. Madhya Pradesh alone has nearly one lakh Anganwadis. Workers already carry smartphones, centres already have growth-monitoring devices, and POSHAN Tracker already records the data.

The digital backbone exists. What is missing is the step from data to action.

A worrying growth trend still waits for someone to notice it. A closed centre goes unreported for days. Anganwadi workers spend hours on registers instead of children. Weak networks break tools that were designed for cities.

This is exactly the problem Kuvaka exists to solve.

Across healthcare, manufacturing and enterprise, we have seen the same pattern: technology is available, but turning it into outcomes is hard. AI Anganwadi 360 applies everything we know about that problem to early childhood care. We add intelligence, not another parallel reporting system.

Our role is simple to state and hard to do: take the AI that usually serves the few, and make it work reliably, ethically and practically for the youngest citizens in the most remote villages.

Inside the centre

What an AI-enabled Anganwadi looks like.

A standard package that is rugged, simple and serviceable. It reuses existing devices and infrastructure wherever possible, and needs no major construction.

Smart TV learning console

43-55 inch screen with Hindi and local-language early learning content, cached to work offline.

AI edge camera

Detects centre opening and closure, occupancy, activity and safety events on the device itself.

Rugged edge device

Local storage and AI processing, with automatic sync when the network returns.

Anganwadi Saathi tablet

A voice-first AI copilot in Hindi with daily tasks and reminders. Works offline.

4G router and antenna

Auto-reconnect and low-bandwidth, event-based sync.

Power backup and growth devices

UPS with a 4-6 hour target, solar where needed, and integration with existing weighing, height and MUAC devices.

AI in the Anganwadi

Eight ways our AI works for every child.

AI prioritises, explains and recommends. People make every decision that matters.

01

Joyful child learning

Local-language early learning content and age-matched daily activity plans, with delivery and engagement tracked for every centre.

02

Nutrition early warning

Reads weight, height and MUAC trends, flags implausible readings and missed follow-ups, and raises early-attention cases for human review.

03

AI voice-calling surveys

Voice agents call families in Hindi and local dialects to check services and run surveys. No smartphone or literacy needed.

04

Anganwadi Saathi

A copilot for workers covering the daily plan, pending home visits, growth reminders and an end-of-day summary. Speak, confirm, sync.

05

Supervisor copilot

AI visit briefs, priority cases and centres, voice-based field notes, follow-up tracking and escalation.

06

Centre operations

Verifies opening, closure, occupancy and scheduled activity, and flags unexpected inactivity or after-hours anomalies.

07

Safety alerts

Detects smoke, gate hazards, standing water and unsafe equipment so they are fixed before a child is harmed.

08

Command intelligence

A live alert queue with reason codes, action routing with time limits, automatic escalation and data-quality checks across every centre.

Computer vision for operations, not child surveillance. No facial identification and no continuous cloud video streaming.

How it works

Five layers. One operating model.

The centre captures signals. Our AI turns signals into exceptions. The command centre makes sure every exception is acted on and closed.

01

AI-enabled Anganwadi

Smart TV, camera, edge device, voice copilot and growth devices capture signals.

02

Kuvaka AI Intelligence Layer

Vision analytics, risk models, anomaly detection and recommendations, on the edge and in the cloud.

03

System of record

POSHAN Tracker, master data and growth records stay where they are. We connect through approved interfaces.

04

Command Centre

Live map, alert queue, district view, escalation and analytics.

05

Field action

A worker or supervisor acts (support, repair or referral) and records the evidence.

DETECTEXPLAINASSIGNACTVERIFY

Example: an unexpected centre closure triggers an AI event and a supervisor alert. The reason is recorded, a field check happens, closure evidence is logged, and the status turns green. The goal is not more alerts. It is fewer unresolved problems.

Built for the ground

Four engineering rules for real village conditions.

Every technology decision has to survive a village-level field test before it is considered for scale.

Offline-first

Core functions keep running without network, and data syncs automatically when connectivity returns. The centre works even if the network is down all day.

Edge-first

Devices process routine events locally. Only approved alerts and low-bandwidth summaries travel to the cloud.

Human-validated

AI never diagnoses a child. People approve every referral, treatment and consequential action.

Interoperable

POSHAN Tracker remains the system of record. We consume approved data and return action signals. There is no duplicate data entry.

FULL MODE

Reliable 4G / Wi-Fi

Cloud sync and live alerts

CORE MODE

Intermittent network

Local queue and periodic sync

OFFLINE MODE

Weak or no network

Offline capture and supervisor sync

Where we work

Five districts. One standard of delivery.

Two centres in each district. The districts were chosen because they are different, so that one technology package is tested across very different geography, infrastructure and networks.

Khandwa

Nimar region, with a mix of rural and semi-urban centres.

Shahdol

Tribal and remote operating conditions.

Tikamgarh

Bundelkhand, rural, and a real test of low connectivity.

Singrauli

Industrial periphery and remote habitations.

Betul

Forest, tribal and rural operating conditions.

The journey

Twelve months. Four stage gates.

We commit to scope, deliver on time and own the outcome, on our CSR work as much as on client work. Scale follows evidence, not assumption.

What we measure

Measured by what changes for children.

Success is not installing hardware. It is generating the evidence that tells us whether this works, and whether it should grow.

Data quality

Fewer measurement anomalies, missing fields and sync failures.

Response time

Alert, acknowledgement, action and closure, faster every month.

Centre operations

Unexpected closures and inactivity detected and resolved.

Early learning delivery

Activities planned, activities delivered, and child engagement.

Nutrition follow-up

Every early-attention case reviewed by a person and followed up to closure.

Worker experience

Lower reporting burden and tools that workers actually want to use.

Our values, in practice

Why Kuvaka does this.

Accessibility

Access to AI is access to opportunity. An Anganwadi worker in Shahdol deserves tools as good as those in any enterprise.

Inclusion

Voice-first, local-language and built for basic phones and weak networks, so AI creates broader opportunity, not greater division.

Ethics

Privacy by design and humans in the loop. Raw video is kept only where explicitly approved, and there is no facial identification.

Reliability

End to end, with one owner: AI, software, devices, integration, deployment and support. Nothing falls between vendors.

Sustainability

Designed to compound. What we learn becomes a repeatable package that others can use and build on.

Building in public

We publish our progress, our results and what did not work. Trust is earned through consistency, not claimed through marketing.

Making intelligence accessible.
Starting at the roots.

Ten centres are just the beginning. If you work in early childhood, public health or social impact and want to build with us, or learn from what we are building, we would like to hear from you.
